Patios, Walls and Walkways Built to Last in Kitsap County

Hardscaping is the built part of a yard — the patio you sit on, the wall that holds back the slope, the path from the driveway to the front door. It is the part you use every day, and the part that has to hold its shape through wet Puget Sound winters.

We are Hall of Fame Landscaping, based in Bremerton. Come to us with a sketch on the back of an envelope or with nothing at all — we will walk the property with you, tell you straight what it will take, and build it.

What we build

  • Paver and natural stone patios
  • Retaining walls in block and stone
  • Walkways, garden paths and steps
  • Seat walls and raised planting beds
  • Fire pit and grill pads
  • Gravel and crushed rock areas
  • Regrading and drainage worked into the build

How a hardscape project goes

  1. We come out and walk the yard with you. What you want to use the space for decides most of the design. The visit and the estimate are free.
  2. You get the scope and the materials written down before anything starts, so there are no surprises halfway through.
  3. We excavate and build the base — compacted rock and drainage. Nobody ever sees this part, and it is the part that decides whether the patio is still flat in ten years.
  4. Pavers or stone go down, edges get locked in, joints get filled.
  5. We haul off the spoils, clean up, and walk the finished job with you before we leave.

Why we spend the time on the base

Ground here stays wet a good share of the year. A patio set on a thin or badly drained base will sink at the low corner and heave at the seams, and then the only fix is pulling it up and starting over. The base is where a hardscape is won or lost, so that is where we take our time.
